Description:

'Mer (Phobia)' is about fear, the frightening feeling of being alone in a dark
place, about anxieties we share and the hatred that imbues our minds.
Phobia is an engine that creates power, a dark power deep inside our
subconsicousnesses waiting to be released. Hatred is the consequence
of fear and destruction the result of hatred. 'Mer (Phobia)' is about destruction,
'Mer (Phobia)' is about fear.

The Track 'Mer (Phobia)' is part of 'Industree' by Massju, first published by our
friends of the US netlabel 'Electro-Space'. The Mer (Phobia) Remixes feature interpretations
of innovative electronic-music producers with different stylistic backgrounds:

Toxonic, Jens Robot of Illphabetik Records, Taktalsmittel's Org, Flextronic, Hirnsalbe,
Weirdandwired's Wolfseule, Mouse Motion Listener, Massju and Electro-Space artist Tlahlok.

The Remixers:

Toxonic, a Reaktor -Nerd and Breakbeat-producer par excellence, lives and works
in massju's neighbourhood. His productions are very elaborated and high-quality
enough to bear comparison with well-kown breakcore producers such as Enduser
or Bong-Ra, and this is no exaggeration. Check out Toxonic's Space for more
tracks and information and be prepared to hear more of him at weirdandwired.net
very soon.

Jens Robot, head of danish Illphabetik-Records and passionated Hardcore/Breakcore-
producer is playing his game with Mer (Phobia) the oldschool-way. Transforming this
piece of music into this wicked amen-style track needs a lot of weird energy. That's
the way we like it here at weirdandwired. Thanks Jens!

Remix number three is by Org. Taktalsmittel.com is his homebase and a high-quality
contribution to the netaudio-world. Always intelligent and sophisticated his tracks
find the way into the mind of the listener. His remix is no exception and strikes with
hypnotic beat-patterns and deep subbasses that open the door to your
hippocamp-region.

Next up is Flextronic's world of sounds. Extensive would be a good approximation to the
stylistic varity Flextronic is familiar to (i.e. drum'n'bass, dubstep, grime, techno and minimal).
Beats are the link between them.
As co-organizer of Tempo90 and Dub-Break-Terror events he gained a lot of recognition
not only in his homebase Trier but inside electronic-minds in whole europe. Check out
Flextronic's space to get more information about his activities.

Hirnsalbe is the project of Carsten Buch (Sinus Force) and Thomas Fuchs. Their netaudio-
outputs include releases at Haushaltsware. Sinus force colaborated with famous
netlabels such as Broque and Legoego and is well-known for his weird techno-tunes
and stomping beats. To get more of these great guys take a look at their homepage.

Wolfseule follows up the weird sounds of her debut 'Unverdauliche Skizzen' and
shows us what it means to destruct a couple of samples and re-organize them
the unconventional way. Skipping beats, noises from hell and a good portion
of madness make this remix a true Wolfseule-trademark.

MML stands for Mouse Motion Listener. This project is too secret to talk about. Listen for
yourself and get convinced that a lot of weirdness is going on here.

Massju's Remix is an aggregation of the original-track's main sujet - fear. To intensify
the frightening atmosphere massju strips 'Mer (Phobia)' down to its primary components and
sends them through his brain-convolutions, the outcome is fear paired with craziness.

Tlahlok's Remix is also part of 'Industree' (Electro-Space 013). Tlahlok is knwon for his
post-electronic almost apocalyptic works on Electro-Space. When he remied Mer (Phobia)
he seemed to know what it means to abstract the original composition - that is to create
a tensed atmosphere. Tlahlok's Remix is pure but not poor of phobia.

If you're interested in remixing 'Mer (Phobia)' and becoming part of this release, send an
E-Mail to matthias [at] matthias-heiderich.de to get the samples.

Thanks to Khärlez at Electro-Space, all the Remixers, and the netlabel-supporters.
